Under the current trend of globalisation, there is a huge demand for talents who can adapt to different cultural environments and be both trilingual and bicultural. The Department of Humanities, Language and Translation of the School of Arts and Social Sciences at the OUHK offers a number of full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes which aim at building up knowledge of our students and cultivate professional talents for Hong Kong. Our programmes, such as Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Chinese, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Language and Culture, Master of Arts in Chinese Literature, and Master of Arts in Applied English Linguistics, are recognised by the Education Bureau as benchmark programmes for teaching language subjects. Our courses allow students to put their study into practice, and contribute to society. To move further, the content of our courses is updated accordingly from time to time. Our new curriculum provides more flexibility and diversity, which broadens the professional knowledge of our students, and enhances their career and potential to further their studies and research.
You are cordially invited to visit this website for more information about the Department.
